For the cake:
100 gram almonds
1 1/2 dl fine-grained sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla sugar
1-2 egg whites
1 dl milk
1 1/2 chocolate flavoured powder (if you can’t find it in the shop make your own by mixing 1 dl powdered sugar and 1/2 dl cocoa)
3 egg yolks
1 teaspoon potato starch
200 gram butter
25 gram marzipan for the hearts
1. Mix the sugar and the vanilla sugar then blend with the ground almonds. Pour 2 egg whites over them and blend. Pour the mass in a heart-shaped cake pan and bake for 10 minutes at 175° C.
2. For the decoration mix the milk, yolks, chocolate-flavoured flour and potato starch and simmer until the cream thickens. Keep stirring all the time. Once the cream has thickened and cooled down a bit, add the butter and homogenise. Use a piping bag to distribute the cream. Make 2 small hearts of marzipan and add on the top.
